8th Grade ELA 

Course Overview

English language Art is just that- an art! Throughout the year we will be diving into different standards according to state benchmarks.
Most texts that we will read will come from the HMH Into Literature textbook that students will have access to online. ​
There will be at different projects that we complete as well as at the very minimum one writing assignment per quarter. 

Why ELA?

While reading and writing may not be everybody's cup of tea, it is something that we use in our everyday lives. Comprehending what is being said in an email and being able to respond, reading instructions and successfully achieving the end goal, or just enjoying a good book (or writing your own) all come back to the skills that we learn in this classroom!
